The weather was cold and rainy Friday and Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. It finally cleared up Sunday, so we decided to take Robbie camping for the first time Sunday-Monday. We got to our campsite around 7:30, Mike unrolled the tent and didn't see the poles. So, around 8 after he got a nice fire going, he left to go back home and look for them. He couldn't find them so ended up buying a tent. I sang to Robbie for a long time to keep him entertained since we forgot to bring toys for him and plus it was pretty much dark anyway. Mike left Gabby with me and took Shadow with him. Luckily Gabby never made a sound so I knew we were safe. Mike said he drove back to the campsite as fast as he could because he was visioning coyotes circling us. About an hour later Mike finally showed up. He picked up the unrolled tent and out fell the poles! They were hidden between the fabric, so it was a wasted trip. I didn't mind so much because I got to cuddle with Robbie! We forgot to bring Robbie's "blankie" so we were worried it would be a long night, but he slept until 6! The weather Monday was so beautiful that we stayed until late afternoon.
He was sure giggling a lot here.
